Raising Capital

We live in very challenging economic times, with access to commercial finance still difficult to obtain from traditional banking sources, who appear more risk adverse than ever.

At Harting Finance we source funding for SME’s from a number of alternative sources, to provide additional capital from £25K up to £5 million or more. We like to work with ambitious and established SME’s that are a minimum of two years old, are already generating revenues and profits, but need to raise additional funds to develop their businesses further.

Sources of Funding

We are an independent company and raise finance from alternative sources using our own extensive network of contacts.

We will only approach those funders we know will have an appetite for your particular proposal. Funding options include secured and unsecured loans, factoring and invoice discounting, bridging loans, equity investment, or any combination of the above.

We approach lenders and investors on your behalf and work closely with you through to completion of the funding process

The Strategy

Harting Finance will work closely with you to understand your business operation and commercial finance requirements.

We undertake a ‘funding readiness’ assessment, which will determine your current suitability to secure additional investment. This will identify any further development of your business strategy, written plans or financial modelling that may be required to help you engage effectively and successfully with lenders and investors.

We will review with you all available funding options, for both debt and equity, and benchmark any existing facilities.

SME Experience

Our principal director has been an SME owner manager for over 20 years and understands the critical role that appropriate funding plays in business success.

He has experienced the full SME business cycle, starting his own IT business from scratch, and developing it over many years before negotiating a trade sale with a UK based plc as his own exit strategy.

He has subsequently invested as a business angel and now works with growing businesses to provide the support, coaching and access to debt and equity funding they need to meet their aspirations.
